Commissions
Over the last few years I have undertaken many private commissions and thoroughly enjoy the challenge they provide. My degree in public art, with its emphasis on studying art as decoration and designing site specific work has been the perfect training for commissions - both private and public.
Portrait commissions
Recently I have rediscovered my love of portraiture and have been drawing portraits of my grandchildren during lockdown. These drawings have in soft pastel on paper but I am equally comfortable working with charcoat or painting in oil, either in the style of my multiple canvases or as conventional paintings.

Site specific commissions
Working on a theme specific to the space where the painting will hang or as requested by the client and taking into account the size of the painting required, I would provide two or three thumbnail designs for approval before I begin working on the chosen design. I usually request a deposit (20%) of the agreed fee to cover the costs of materials. Final payment is due on completion of the work. Depending on the size and the specifications of the commission, it would normally take from six weeks to three months to produce the final piece.
